The Zen of Bread Making   Spirit, Mind & Body
Bread is the staff of physical life. Meditation is the staff of spiritual life. Bringing the two together, we will make bread using the triple rise method and techniques use at the Tassajara Zen Buddhist Monastery of Monterey County, California. While waiting during the "rises" we'll learn spiritual practices to invoke the spiritual bread of life. Each participant will make a small loaf to take home. Cost of ingredients extra. Bring bread bowl (ceramic or glass is better), cotton towel large enough to cover bowl, and sturdy wooden spoon with long handle (10") Limited to six bread baking meditators.

About the Instructor
Radha Tereska Buko has studied Sufi mysticism for 14 years, has been initiated into three Sufi orders and has traveled extensively throughout the US and Europe offering experiential workshops in  interfaith spirituality.   She has apprenticed directly with major teachers in the field of walking meditations, sacred dance and sound, and chi kung and tai chi.  She co-founded and directs the Vermont Institute for Joy and Movement, a consortium of therapists and teachers who use somatic arts to increase well-being. Radha holds a master's degree in International Administration and Multi-Cultural studies from the School for International Training.
